Curriculum

Our curriculum is the Learning is Adventure Curriculum, an original learning program for preschoolers. This curriculum has proven to be effective in 28 years of usage in 5 different preschools. The program covers distinct learning programs, covering all areas of development for preschool age groups. Heavy emphasis is placed on creativity, learning through hands-on activities and fun. Our curriculum consultant Judy Stephens, developer of this curriculum, provides continuing education for teachers to ensure authentic practice.

When you visit our preschool, you will find children enthusiastically engaged in one or more of the following activities:

  • Monthly themes featuring hands-on experiences such as dinosaur digs and make-believe trips
  • Language arts programs designed for each age level using literature, games, alphabet puppets and creative dramatics
  • Math and science exploration through the discovery approach
  • Cooking projects to build independence and good nutritional habits
  • Developing physical and social skills through outdoor play and motor lab activities
  • Creative expression through art, music and dance

Due to Covid restrictions, some of the special activities listed below may be limited. Check with your child’s teacher for more information.

In our school, parents are included in many special activities, such as programs starring our students, open houses, luncheons, field trips, pony pictures and parades. Parents are informed of their child’s progress through regularly scheduled conferences and progress reports.
